New York weather and climate

New York experiences different weather conditions at different times of the year. Mid-summer can be very hot and steamy. Winter conditions can be extremely cold with heavy snowfalls, and it is not unknown for flights to be disrupted!

	The autumn is a popular time to visit New York, partly because of the beautiful colours of the trees in Central Park.
	Christmas time is very popular and Times Square is one of ‘the’ places to be on New Year’s Eve
	Part of the appeal of New York is that it is a whole year round destination with different activities and attractions available at different times of the year.
