ABTA
Like nearly all travel agents in the United Kingdom, Travel Stop is a member of ABTA (The Association of British Travel Agents). Being an ABTA member provides benefits to Travel Stop and its customers.
One of the most important of these is about the protection of money paid by customers when a holiday company goes out of business, or a major event causes the cancellation of travel arrangements which have been paid for.
It is important to understand that the exact situation regarding the protection of customers’ payments is not totally clear in all cases, but in many situations customers booking with travel agents who are members of ABTA will be able to obtain a refund of their money.
ACE
Travel Stop is also a member of the Association of Cruise Experts (ACE). Amongst other services, ACE offers training and support to travel agents selling cruise holidays. ACE summaries its services in the paragraph below:
