We are extremely grateful for the co-operation of seven travel and tourism organisations that provided a range of information and staff time in the development of the resource. The organisations were selected to demonstrate the wide range of activities and operations within the leisure, hospitality travel and tourism industries to which health and safety legislation applies.
The resource covers the main areas of health and safety which impact on the operational procedures of each of the organisations covered. They are not designed to be totally comprehensive and in some cases commercial sensitivity has had to be acknowledged. In some cases, primary information was provided and this has been included in the teachers guide.
