These factors have encouraged many visitors to return year on year, and Malta receives a high number of repeat visits from tourists who feel that Malta is safe, familiar and comfortable. The Maltese people are known to be extremely friendly and welcoming.

For UK tourists, the fact that English is widely spoken is a great advantage. These visitors are given confidence by the fact that so many of the signs are in English, and that they recognise so many names of shops and restaurants.

The Maltese people accept that they rely heavily on tourism and they also appreciate the links they have with the UK.
