A food safety hazard is something that has the potential to contaminate food making it unsafe to eat. This could be in the storage stage as some foods need certain temperatures to be met in order to store them safely, or in the preparation stage where poor cleaning or contamination could be a hazard. This will then lead to the development of “food poisoning” which can cause serious harm to individuals.
