Miniature circuit breakers (MCB) are used in place of a fuse because they act faster than fuses.
Residual current circuit breakers (RCCB) will help protect against shock. They measure the currents in the live wire and neutral. If everything is working properly, the two values are equal. But, if you accidentally touch the live wire, some current flows through your body to the ground. Now the current in the neutral and live will be different. The device will detect the difference in currents and throw the switch, breaking the circuit.
