According to OfCom, one third (33%) of UK adults say they consume news through radio, and this figure has remained pretty constant over recent years.

People’s choice of radio station for news varies.
Just over half (55%) of those who use radio for news only use BBC radio for this purpose, compared to one quarter (26%) that only use commercial radio.
In recent years there has been a surge in radio listeners, with numbers actually reaching record levels. According to industry monitor Rajar, 48 million adults were listening to more than 1 billion hours each week in the last few months of 2016.
