Experiment Method
- Measure out 10g of biological washing powder.
- Place washing powder into a beaker with 100 ml of water and stir until dissolved.
- Heat the water to 20°C
- Stain a piece of material with egg yolk and check, using the grid, that all 25 squares are fully stained with yolk.
- Leave the material to dry for 30 minutes.
- Put the material in the water and time for 10 minutes.
- Keep the beaker in a water bath to maintain the temperature.
- Remove the material and use the grid to determine the % of material which has been cleaned.
- Repeat stages 1-7 twice more.
- Repeat the experiment using 30, 40, 50 and 60 °C
